Abacus Group Acquires AI-driven Security Innovator Entara

Abacus Group, a leading US-based managed IT and cybersecurity service provider specializing in solutions for financial services firms, announced it has acquired Entara. This latest deal is expected to enhance Abacus Group's global capabilities in cybersecurity, professional services, and digital infrastructure. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed to the public.

Founded in 2001 and based in Chicago, Entara is a developer of AI-based security solutions tailored specifically for the financial sector. Entara's expertise in ServiceNow technology has positioned them as leaders in their field, bridging gaps between traditional IT frameworks and modern digital demands. The company provides incident response, IT consulting, cloud solutions, disaster recovery, and acts as a so-called “eXtended Service Provider (XSP)”


This latest transaction aligns seamlessly with Abacus Group's long-term strategy of augmenting its service offerings through targeted acquisitions that bolster its technological portfolio while broadening geographic reach. 


Founded in 2008 and based in San Francisco,  Abacus Group provides managed IT and cybersecurity services tailored to the financial services sector. In addition to its San Francisco office, it also runs offices across major financial cities in the U.S. and the U.K. Abacus's core technology platform abacusFlex is a multi-cloud platform that covers private, hybrid, and public clouds, compliance, business continuity, voice solutions, and hosting.
