About The CODEW
Technology & Market Intelligence
An independent technology publication covering AI, enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, startups, technology markets, and M&A — built to explain not only what is happening, but why it matters.
The CODEW is an independent technology and market intelligence publication focused on the companies, technologies, markets, and business decisions shaping the future of technology.
Our coverage goes beyond daily headlines. Through news coverage, strategic analysis, company research, Watch series, startup intelligence, and practical business guides, The CODEW examines what is changing, why it matters, and what readers should understand next.
The Story Behind The CODEW
From a small Blogger technology blog to an independent technology and market intelligence publication.
The CODEW began in 2014 as a small technology blog hosted on Blogger, Google's free blogging and publishing platform.
Over time, the project went through a period of inactivity while I focused on other work and worked online as a remote professional. But I never stopped wanting to build and run my own technology publication.
In 2025, I returned to the project, acquired the thecodew.com domain, and began a major rebrand and redevelopment of the site.
Today, The CODEW is independently researched, written, edited, developed, and published by me. The publication covers AI, enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, semiconductors, startups, venture capital, technology M&A, and other areas where technology and business increasingly intersect.
The goal is straightforward: provide useful technology and market intelligence without unnecessary hype, with a focus on the companies, technologies, capital, and strategic decisions shaping the industry.
What We Cover
The CODEW follows the intersection of technology, companies, capital, and markets — combining timely coverage with deeper analysis designed to remain useful beyond the daily news cycle.
How The CODEW Is Organized
About the Founder & Publisher
Erwin Castro founded The CODEW and oversees the publication end-to-end, including editorial, research, SEO, coding, website development, content strategy, and publishing.
His byline has appeared on Seeking Alpha, International Business Times (IBTimes), University Herald, and Sportskeeda.
The CODEW is built around a simple principle: understand the technology, understand the business, and understand the market.
Our Editorial Principles
Built for the Long Term
The CODEW is being built as more than a daily technology news site. The long-term vision is to create a durable technology and market intelligence platform combining current reporting, strategic analysis, company research, evergreen guides, and practical business intelligence.
What began as a technology publishing experiment in 2014 went through a period of uncertainty and pause, returned in a new form, and continues to evolve today.
