AMD Bolsters AI Innovation Through Strategic Acquisition of Enosemi

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (Nasdaq: AMD), announced its acquisition of Enosemi, a leader in high-performance computing and graphics solutions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed to the public. The deal is expected to strengthen AMD’s ability to develop photonics and co-packaged optics solutions, particularly for next-generation AI systems.

Enosemi has previously worked with the US-based semiconductor giant as an external development partner on several key initiatives within the realm of photonics. The established synergy between the two companies is set to deepen as Enosemi becomes fully integrated into AMD’s operations. Matt Streshinsky (CEO), Ari Novack (CTO), and Shahab Ardalan (VP of Engineering) will continue to spearhead innovation efforts at AMD.

Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, Enosemi is a fast-growing photonics startup specializing in silicon photonics and co-packaged optics. Integrating Enosemi's expertise will enable AMD to significantly scale its ability to support and develop comprehensive solutions across various sectors influenced by AI advancements, boosting the company's position in the rapidly evolving AI hardware market.
